INFORMATION   Elephant birds are extinct, fully wiped out of this world.  They are from the family of the largest birds in the world ,  its the 2nd largest bird in the world.  Vorombe titan was the most  largest bird in the world.  Now its the ostrich,  This is whole family of largest birds in the world are all flightless.  They all look a like except for the size and color.  Emu, Kiwi, Ostrich, Elephant bird,  Vorombe titan, R hea, Cassowary, Moa, Ratite, Palaeognathae, Neognathae, Sthruthioformes they are all the flightless and almost extinct birds.  They only live in Madagascar,  the place where indri's live too. They lay giant eggs just like the ostrich. Elephant egg, Ostrich egg and Humming bird egg FUN FACTS Elephant birds are called "Elephant birds" because they can carry an elephant!!! People say Elephant birds are extinct but they may not be!!!
