INFORMATION Snakes are reptilians who have no legs or hands.  They often stay in trees or water. They have scales and once the scales are dry the snake sheds it and grows a new one.  This is because the snakes are cold blooded animals, they often stay in they water that is heated by the sun or stay on the ground when the sun is high or low.  They have big and stretchy jaws that is used to swallow bigger animals than the snake itself.  Their most preferred food are rats, some people say that snake are a threat to human kind, but actually we will die without snakes, because they chase away all the rats and eat them, so they will not return, more than snakes the rats are more of a threat to human kind, because they eat up all the food and without food people will die.  They lay eggs with soft and leathery shells. The young snakes hatch when the eggs are warmed by the heat of the sun.  There are over hundred thousand species of snakes all over the world. Some of them are:

INFORMATION Lions are mammals that live in the grasslands. They live in a group called pride.  They go to sleep with their pride in a small or large cave. A lion's cave is called a den. They are carnivorous and are fierce hunters. It has a bushy hair called mane, its body is covered with fur as well and anyway all mammals have either hair or fur.  A lion's body is golden brown colour which helps them hide and hunt in the grasslands this is called camouflage. A female lion is called a lioness,  a baby lion is called a cub and they too have fur.  A lioness cares for her cubs and teaches them how to hunt. FUN FACTS A lion doesn't know how to hunt, The lioness's are the ones doing hunting!!! A lion has the smallest heart in the entire world!!! Lions are just larger cats!!!,They are not different species.

INFORMATION Butterflies are insects that eat pollen which comes from flowers. Their home are trees. They sleep together on tree branches. There are various sorts of butterflies and some of them are shown below.  A butterfly has two big wings in the front and two small at the back. They can fly high and has many beautiful hues. The butterfly has six legs but we often can't see them.  If you touch a butterfly's wing it will get hurt.  A butterfly has four steps in life. They are: A female butterfly lays its egg on a plant that her young will eat. Then the baby caterpillar (Larva) eats greedily and grows quickly. After that the caterpillar (Larva) turns into a chrysalis (a cocoon or pupa). And finally the chrysalis (cocoon or pupa) is cracked open after some time by the adult butterfly. A caterpillar  (Larva)  is very dangerous to human skin. It can swell it very quickly.  But you can collect empty  chrysalis (cocoons or pupas).

INFORMATION  Frogs are amphibians who live in the water when they are young and once they grow up they grow lungs and start living in the land.  A frog has a smooth, slimy skin and two long back legs, they use their long back legs to jump here and there.  A frog lives in a muddy or wet area.  Frogs are carnivorous animals, Who catch and eat insects.  A frog has four steps in its life cycle,  In spring the female frog lays thousands of eggs in the water,  After some time the eggs hatch into tiny tadpoles with wriggly tails,  And then they grow fatter and fatter and grow legs then turn into froglets,  And finally the grow larger in size and lose their tails and turn in to adult frogs.
